Daddy Playtime

I think daddy was just as amused by the faces in the mirror as Layla was!

We Heart Cell Phones

Its very nice to have cell phones - they help with the photos. I have several on my camera that I will try to get around to uploading tomorrow, but I am too lazy to take out the card, plug it into the adapter, link it to the pc, etc....

So instead, for anyone who watches Raising Hope, I hope they can appreciate the resemblance.  Mommy is getting better at this hat making thing - this one is home made:

This photo was taken while she was intently watching the Buckeye game today.  She actually got mad when we turned her away from it. Quite possibly one of their youngest fans. (Tim asked how I knew she wasn't a Hawkeye). Her hands were headed to her mouth - she found them this week, and is thoroughly enjoying sucking on her fingers. Its pretty entertaining when she already has a bottle in her mouth to watch her try to shove a hand in too - but its also pretty messy!!

And a few photos as she is starting to enjoy sitting up more than laying down. She is growing so quickly and developing so well! We had her two month checkup on 11/17, and she weighed 12 lbs 8 oz and was 23.25 inches long.  Wowsa.

Two Months Today!

Thank you Kristen for making me an awesome bath towel.  I love feeling like a burrito!!

Two months today, and showing off one of the outfits that Greta got me - it says "Oops! I just did a Michigan in my pants!"

What up? Yeah, I'm gangsta.

Two months old!

Layla went to visit the Grandparents while mommy and daddy went out for mommy's birthday / our anniversary dinner.  She had fun, and mommy, well, she survived, and only texted one time to check on her. It only gets easier from here, right?

Just playing on my playmat, checking out the zoo animals. You can't see them, but they are hanging over my head.

I am not too thrilled with my Bumbo chair yet, so I will only stay in it for a few minutes, but that is still progress!

What a strong neck I have!

Its so hard for me to believe that Layla is two months old already.  The first 6-7 weeks, I only felt responsible for her care - making sure she was fed, clean and loved on.  All of the sudden it dawned on me that her development is on me too - making sure she is exercising and learning, etc.  Its not a bad thing, of course.  Just another amazing part of being a parent.  This week, I was singing a Christmas carol along with a tv commercial (despite the fact that it isn't even Thanksgiving yet!) and she stopped what she was doing, made eye contact with me and just smiled....which of course made me cry.  My baby is growing up too quickly! And yes, I know, they all do that.  But still, I get my moment to be weepy too! =)

Grandma and Grandpa Tomich

Video of the Tomich visit that Tim took for us. He said - I think they thought I was playing a game on my phone and not recording them. The entire weekend was like this. We love them!

Another Week Closes...this makes 7

Week seven has been pretty uneventful as far as adventures out of the house. Layla and mommy maneuvered blowing the leaves to the curb one day, and running errands most of the other days. We even managed to take Stella to the vet for her allergy shot, and control her is tough on its own, let alone with a baby strapped on!!

Layla became a tummy sleeper this week - she greatly prefers it to anything else, and it gets us a 4 hour nap most afternoons, and a 6-7 hour stretch at night, so it seems to be good for us. She is just starting to find her voice, and likes looking at herself in the mirror (hopefully not too big a premonition for the years to come!)

See - lots of sleeping this week! =) At least its peaceful.
Oh yeah. She found her hands this week, and more importantly (to her anyway).... Layla found her thumb. Sigh.

Hope everyone has a great week! Oh, and for mommy's birthday, big bills work great in case you are having a tough time coming up with a gift! Send 'em my way! =)
